So many Christian writers have forgotten this or perhaps never heard it. Most Christian writing seems to be heavy on Christian instruction and quite light on artistry and imagination--like beating a person over the head with a Bible. Those works put me off. I might as well read a commentary. Far better to write something that captures the imagination, which allows the teaching to seep in.
